What makes a film “great”? Critics and fans argue that point endlessly, and the conclusions – if there are any at all – usually come out vague.
My opinions will likely make some of you nod your head in agreement and others of you cringe.
So it goes.
I think one important thing to remember is that it is all relative. You can’t in full fairness judge Star Wars next to Nanook of the North. Which is the best film, Andrei Rublev or Ratatouille? A “great” thriller may not be, in my opinion, as good as a “great” comedy. But in regards to other thrillers, it may be among the best.
So feel free to read, agree or disagree.
